The Value of Regular Maintenance

"A stitch in time saves nine!"

-Benjamin Franklin

You’ve got a pool! You see your pool every day. Everything looks good. How important is regular maintenance though? You wonder.

It is essential! I say.

How so? You ask.

Well…

Consider a leak. Would you rather catch that when it’s small, and a quick epoxy application could save you hundreds of gallons of water?

Consider high calcium. When left too high for too long, your pool will begin to develop scale build upon the finish, tile line, equipment, fittings, ladders… On the other hand, too little calcium will cause your pool finish, equipment, and fittings, to become brittle and weak. Both effects will lead to premature damage and cost.

Algae can be caught before it blooms out of control. Debris can be cleaned up before it feeds algae or stains your pool finish. A clean and clear (not cloudy) pool is safer for swimming as visibility is uninhibited. Keeping the pool area clutter free creates a safe environment for people to maneuver about the pool deck, and regularly inspecting the latches and locks on doors and gates is just one of many ways you can stay one step ahead of accidents and bigger repairs.

Engaging a licensed maintenance team who regularly and routinely care for and inspect your pool can extend the life of your pool and equipment. It also means you have more time todo what you love, and less time worrying. Our technicians attend the same pools each week, and become very familiar with each pool’s unique needs. That kind of personalized touch is invaluable in this industry. Water chemistry, pool health, equipment life, and safety barriers function optimally when routinely maintained, and you can have peace of mind as you achieve a more enjoyable lifestyle.
